These two bracelets are studies in rapid prototyping moveable parts. The top image was a series of interlocking rings. The rings make the bracelet expandable in order to allow various size users to wear it. The second picture is a series of modular links connected through hinges. The clasp is a T shape connected to a ball joint. The T can be inserted into the corresponding link to maintain a connection.
This was a two week project in learning how to use the laser cutter. I began by taking general measurements of my face and pre-existing glasses. I made laser file in Illustrator, and then Rendered the glasses to scale in Rhino. I then ran the file on the laser cutter, and cut out all the pieces. I cut the frames from MDF, and the lenses were cut from acrylic. There is still much work to be done to forward this project. Below is the Illustrator File, the Rhino rendering, and the prototype model.

We explored the topic of instant village in regards to disaster relief. This was our first experience with the design process. Below is the final presentation that was presented at the end of the semester along with the prototype. Feel free to comment if there are any questions in regards to the process, presentation, or prototype.
This is a brief overview of the work that has been done thus far on the portable stool project. This was a good experience in utilizing the bent lamination process, as well as my general wood working skills. There is still a lot to be considered on this project and a few other iterations are in the works.
